"The MAGICAL TOY CHEST"
Golden Kingdom Magic Toy Box and Banyan Tree Tea
"Peering Through the Looking Glass"
NOTE: This one picture inspired an homage to Lewis Carroll's, "Alice in Wonderland", which unfolds below. I wound up adding some of my existing "Golden Kingdom" story into it... and it just grew and grew... hmm, I wonder if, it was some strange pill or pastry I ate? David Seer

Part 2-
Now the Golden Princess stomped her foot and protested! "Not that story!"
She slapped the mushroom and begged, "Please Mr. Caterpillar tell me a story true about the meaning of all things that are so magical in the Enchanted Forest! It all seems so... so, puzzling," the princess sighed. The grumpy old caterpillar answered in his usual cryptic nonsensical way, "Quite right! Why ask for answers when puzzles and riddles will do? He looked her over and up and down. Why, just like you, it's the same as it's ever been... whether today or tomorrow or, or ever has been... oh... harrumph! I say, I do say... you are a silly girl! Quite right you are, now... go away! He waved her away with all his tiny hands and blew a dozen smoke rings into the air. One made her cough! This really irritated the worm and he told her so, "Oh you pesky little girl, you are absolutely, positively, bothering me smoke... and most important of all, me think time!" |
PART 3-
But as the Golden Princess was stubborn, the poor caterpillar saw no other way to get rid of the nuisance girl than to tell her of the "Enchanted Forest" and about all the creatures under heaven and earth! "Ahem! All righty then... just one story about creation in all its glory... then you simply, must be off! Agreed?"
The Princess was so excited as she shook her head yes, yet she couldn't decide whether to stand or sit, or just what to do next! She turned to her pet unicorn and exclaimed, "The wise old caterpillar is going to tell us all about the Enchanted Forest, and everything about all the mysterious peoples and creatures found here! Yea!" The excited unicorn whinnied and danced about, and for a moment he and the princess danced a forest waltz time jig!

The caterpillar paid them no mind, he didn't even care that her pet unicorn stopped dancing, then ignoring them both he nibbled on a mushroom... then burped out purply bubbles! "Belch! bur-urp... oops!" was all the poor unicorn could say or do.
At the sight of the silly unicorn, the caterpillar laughingly coughed while he blew out smoke rings full of rainbow colors. "Silly nag! Ahem! All right, all right where shall we begin? Hmm... I guess at the very beginning." "Yes! Beginnings are the very best place to start, wise old smoky caterpillar, they always have been."
He gave her a sideways glance and huffed, "Yes then... just one story about creation in the beginning of things... and then you simply... positively and without a doubt... must be, off! Agreed?"
She shook her head and two of his hands and simply said, "Agreed!" The Princess wandered around the tiny mushroom forest to find a good seat, then finally sat down on a little bouncy mushroom and crossed her legs. She was now quite ready to hear this tale to be told, by the strange caterpillar sitting on the big mushroom, deep in the forest fold.

As the caterpillar slowly moved, his pudgy rippling body made shimmering fantastic colors. He fussed about until he was seated just right, then he took a long drawn out puff on his twisty tangled pipe. He waved his tiny arms, then folding all eight-pairs of his hands he at last adjusted his monocle just a bit to the right.
Peering down at his audience he coughed, not once but twice then clearing his throat he began most sonorously, "This is a story of great importance, it is the story of the "beginning times". So, of course, it all began in that most mysterious of eras known only as, "the Ancient of Days".

"See, an important meeting had been called by an Angel Quorum, thus the herald went out from one end of creation to another.
"Announcing! A royal Angel proclamation: There is called a meeting of the four Elementals of earth. The Fairies of the air. And the Mermaids of the waters. So too, is called the Gnomes of the earth and the Fire Salamanders, or dragons. Therefore, all essential elementals are to be present to talk about the Earth with the wise old gaia tree."
The storyteller continues, "And so, just for this occasion; mother earth, Gaia tree, and the four Elementals, were all present. This was important because of the very fact of what it was all about... for it was regarding exactly who was all now present!" |
PART 4-
Now the lumpy caterpillar chuckled and his jelly belly rolled and rumpled at the thought.
"Of course, all the creatures of the forest were now in a tizzy, as the rumors and discussions ran rampant: for change was most certainly in the air!
Only because a meeting of this importance could mean but one thing, that the divine cosmic timing was NOW at a crossroads, of the very beginning... or a final ending."

Rapt in attention yet squirming with anticipation, the princess looked over at her unicorn pet. He looked back with big saucer eyes whilst leaning against a burlybark tree and rubbing his swollen belly. Then he burped and little purple bubbles floated out of his mouth... even more peculiar, his unicorn horn began to glow in rainbow colors.
The storyteller stopped, to have a puff of smoke, and was quite startled when they both blurted out, "Don't stop! Oh tell us more!" Still, it seemed the more they cried out, the more the lumbering loquacious caterpillar just shrugged his shoulders and twiddled his many thumbs.
Why he seemed to be, by no means, in any kind of hurry at all...

"A Unicorn's Dream" Told by Monkey and the Wizard
"So, as stories go, hee-hee. Yab-yab! After counting me monkey toes, I think there is more than five and less than umm... one, two, three, uh... oh nevermind!
It's story time! It all began, when the unicorn had a dream! A special dream of crystal blue persuasion, flying high into celestial exhaltation... ooh-ooh! Brraap! Hoo-ee, he was flying!" "Eek-eeyab! Ooh! Monkey wish he could fly!?" "Do you... wish to fly too?" |
The monkey scratched his hairy face, picked out a flea and ate it, "Yab-yab... mmm good!" Then he continued, "Now... yoop-de-oop, this was a special unicorn for he belonged to the Golden Princess. Shazaam! And as he slept he dreamed of flying, and yoop-yoop!, seeing all his special friends of the magical forest!" Now the monkey weaved back and forth, too excited to know what to do!
Now the wizard came into the palace scholar room and patted the excited monkey on the head, "That'll do monkey, that'll do. I'll take over the story from here for you!" Next thing you knew, the monkey jumped up and began waving his arms around while making the most outrageous sounds, "Yada-yada yada! Screech-yada-yoo!" He even pounded his chest with a thump! "Ooh-oo, look, monkey fly too!" But all he could do was a backflip or two.
The wizard, smiled and pointed to a bike and calmly said, "Monkey, why don't you relax and go ride your trike for a while please do?" Knowing it was never ever good business to do ill by the wizard, the monkey scampered down and jumped on his trike and cycled about! Happy as a loon in June, just let out of school!

"Watch out monkey, use both hands! Don't fall off!"
The wizard wiped his worried brow and mumbled, really what more could a wizard do? Turn monkey into a statue, that would do! Or perhaps a wind-up toy jack in the box, playing cymbals... straight out of Kalamzoo! The wizard stroked his long grey-white beard and chuckled to himself at the strange thoughts. Knowing full well, a wizard is capable of doing anything magical if he sets his mind to do it!

"Yab-yab lookee wat monkey do! I can ride, I can ...aieee! Haaalp! I almost fall off!"
